MOT

If your car is over three years old you are required, by law, to have a valid MOT certificate to prove your car is roadworthy.

Your initial MOT is due three years after the date your vehicle was first registered and then annually thereafter. A MOT usually takes about 45 minutes and this can be done while you wait. Our approved testers have joint experience of over 30 years so rest assured your MOT will be accurate and fair.

We have three in-house MOT bays and we can test cars, motorhomes and motorcycles.

Our low level ramps also make it easy for us to test vehicles with low ground clearance.

Servicing

Though we specialise in Volkswagen and Audi, we service all makes and models. This takes place in our workshop by our fully trained technicians using only the best quality parts.

Working from your service book we will carry out the work that is required. If anything extra is needed we will contact you prior to carrying out the work so you're not hit with a huge bill when your vehicle is ready. If you don't have a service book don't worry, we'll check your vehicle over and arrange a service book for you to take away, and we'll keep a record to let you know when your next service is due.

Air Conditioning

Here at The MotorHouse we are ATA approved refrigerant handlers. All our technicians are fully trained in air conditioning service and repair. We can deal with any air conditioning problem from a split pipe to a compressor renewal.

A car with air conditioning has up to 10,000 more micro organisms in the heating system than a normal car. These micro organisms, due to their size, can pass through filters with little difficulty. These can cause sneezing, coughing and watery eyes.

In every service we add an ultraviolet dye to the system thus enabling us to locate any potential leaks in the future.

Our technicians are fully trained in carrying out all diagnostics on your vehicle. We have all the up to date equipment with 95% coverage of vehicles enabling us to pinpoint the problem quickly and efficiently.

Bodywork

Many insurance companies will try to direct your claim towards their own 'recommended repairer' regardless of their expertise.

We have in-house facilities for the complete repair and refinishing of vehicle bodywork. Our fully qualified refinishers have 25 years experience and all our body and paintwork is guaranteed for 2 years. We shall be pleased to offer you a free inspection and estimate should you require it.

It is your right to have your vehicle repaired at the bodyshop of your choice. Did you know that you only have to provide one estimate for repairs? We can supply and fit all major brands of tyres.

All our exhausts come with a 2-year guarantee.

Timing Belts

In accordance with the manufacturer's specifications your timing belt should be changed at the correct interval. This is normally specified in your service book.

We can check and advise on this for you and give you a competitive estimate.
